Subtype August 22nd, 2011Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) is one types of somatoform disorder which easily recognizable. BDD is mostly found in women. 70% of the symptoms arise when teens under 18 years old and will be more peaked at the age of 30 years. In general, Body dysmorphic disorder can be called as a mental disorder who is too concerned about the appearance and condition of this happening for years, though the person has near-perfect performance that does not worry about.
Those people who have BDD disorder is always dissatisfied with the condition of her face and body. Usually an area that often became the focus of attention is the nose, skin, and hair, eyes, eyelids, mouth, lips, jaw and chin shape. But other areas of the body can also be a problem and there is a tendency to focus on some particular body part or even faint; not clear which part in question. BDD disorders exhibit behaviour similar to eating disorders (eating disorder) in which the subject is a perfectionist. We will never see him quite well, although they underlined the midst of death (such as: cases of anorexia or underweight). These people have low self esteem so that they perceived physical shortcomings as a fatal failure.
